Hop on a ferry to Amorgos
One option would be to take the ferry to Amorgos, as the island doesn’t have an airport. The distance between the port of Piraeus in Athens and the port of Katapola in Amorgos is 173 nautical miles, so the ferry trip can last between 5.5 and 9 hours. This, of course, depends on the type of vessel you choose, as well as the weather. If you take the high-speed ferry, you can get there in 5 hours.
You can find daily crossings from Piraeus to Amorgos all year round. It is mainly operated by Seajets and Blue Star Ferries.

Fly from Athens to Mykonos and take the ferry to Amorgos
An alternative option to get to Amorgos from Athens would be to book a ticket to Mykonos and then hop on a ferry to Amorgos. This might be a convenient option but it depends on airway ticket prices and how well in advance you book.
The flight from ATH International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos to Mykonos Airport (JMK) takes 45 minutes and this route is serviced by Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air. Prices may start as low as 78 Euros for a single ticket if you book well in advance and find an offer. However, prices always depend on availability and seasonality.
Note: Conveniently, you can fly directly to Mykonos from international airports as well, although prices are certainly different.
Once in Mykonos, get on a ferry to Amorgos. During high season, you will find high-speed vessels by Seajet and Superjet having schedules from Mykonos to Amorgos and vice versa at least five times weekly. The ferry trip lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours.

Fly from Athens to Santorini and take the ferry to Amorgos
Similarly, you can fly to Santorini from the airports of Athens or other international airports that service this sky route.

In the high summer season, there are actually daily crossings from Santorini to Amorgos with high-speed ferries. Again, it is serviced by Seajets and Small Cycladic lines. The duration can be anywhere between 1.5 hours to 5 hours, depending on the vessel type. The average duration is about 3 hours and the price ranges from 11.20 Euros to 87.70 Euros.

Fly from Athens to Naxos and take the ferry to Amorgos
You can do the same by flying to the small airport of Naxos. The sky route from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos to Naxos Airport (JNX) is serviced by Olympic Air/Aegean and Sky Express. The flight lasts approximately 44 minutes. Prices may start as low as 73 Euros.
You can get to Amorgos on the daily ferry Express Scopelitis which usually departs at 14:00. On Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday; it arrives at Aegiali port. And every day, except for Sunday, you can get to Katapola Port. The trip is 4 to 5 hours, as there are many stops to the Small Cyclades.
The ferry route is also serviced by Blue Star Ferries, departing from Naxos to Amorgos every day. The duration of the trip with this ferry is 2 to 3 hours.
During high season you will find even more alternatives with local ferries and hydrofoils, so keep this in mind if you wish to go island-hopping in the Small Cyclades.
