Adamas or Adamantas village is located at the main port of Milos. It is the largest and busiest settlement on the island. It has a nice buzz due to the beautiful promenade with trendy boutique shops, the many hotels, restaurants, and hip cafes.
Adamas is the best place to stay in Milos if you do not have a car. Not only is Adamas at the port, but it is also the place from which most organized boat trips and private tours depart. I can certainly recommend a boat day trip to the famous Kleftiko caves.
The romantic and picturesque fishing village of Pollonia lies at a distance of ten kilometers from Adamas at the Northeast tip of the island. It is a quieter place to stay in Milos but is it has all the amenities that you need for your stay.
Pollonia is very suitable for families because of its protected beaches with golden sand and shallow seas, a playground in the middle of the town, and traditional tavernas by the waterfront. All beaches around Pollonia offer natural shade.
The picturesque mountain village of Plaka is the main capital of Milos island at a distance of 5 kilometers from the Adamas port. In Plaka, you will find the typical Cycladic architecture of white-washed houses with blue doors and windows.
