The port of Ios, also known as Gialos, is the central port of the island. It is built by the seaside and hosts many luxury boats, including yachts and sailing boats, as well as traditional ‘kaikia’ or fishing vessels.
If you choose to stay here, you get the chance to have amazing seaside views and the convenience of taking the bus to Chora anytime. You can even walk there and enjoy the stroll. You will have the beach in close proximity for a quick swim, and there is also the option of taking the bus to Mylopotas Beach.
